Anti-Abortion Movie ‘Unplanned’ Banned from Twitter on Opening Weekend

In the latest string of Social Media censorship of right-wing ideas and figures, the anti-abortion, pro-life movie ‘Unplanned’ had its official Twitter account suspended on Saturday, March 30th of its opening weekend. With controversy over Twitter and Facebook’s treatment of conservatives coming under fire after a long list of right wing personalities getting deplatformed, often without cause and without reasoning, the pattern has begun to look like a dangerous trend to the free expression of ideas

The movie, which opened in theaters yesterday, tells the true story behind Abby Johnson, one of Planned Parenthood’s youngest clinic directors as she transforms her views on something she formerly thought of as a woman’s inalienable right. During her career, Johnson was involved in over 22,000 abortions.

‘Unplanned’ follows her shift from a staunch abortion activist to one of the nations leading pro-life advocates after witnessing the procedure, and the baby “twisting and fighting for its life,” as said in the trailer. Seeing the brutal act in person, and subsequently having an unplanned pregnancy herself, Johnson now rethinks her career and her part in the murder of thousands of unborn children.

When a movie takes such strong stance against Planned Parenthood and the the hundreds of thousands of abortions they commit every year, it is no surprise social media will take action to muffle their voice. Luckily, the film’s Twitter account was reinstated hours after its removal thanks to the thousands of outraged fans.

According to The Daily Wire, despite Unplanned reaching over 1,000 theaters this weekend, all stations besides Fox are refusing to host advertisements for the culturally important film. All networks owned by Discovery have denied advertisements due to its ‘sensitive nature.’

Madison County Judge Recognizes Unborn Fetus as a Person with Rights

While abortion has been in the news many times before, and we thought we’d seen it all, a probate court judge in Madison County made history as the first judge to recognize an unborn and aborted fetus as a human with Constitutional rights.

According to WAAY 31, Ryan Magers attempted to sue an abortion clinic where his would be child was terminated at the request of his girlfriend. The suit comes two years after the abortion took place. “I’m here for the men who actually want to have their baby,” he told WAAY 31. He names “Alabama Women’s Center, their employees and the pharmaceutical company who makes the medication used in an abortion” as the defendants.

The suit claims Mager pleaded with his girlfriend to “not kill Baby Roe,” the name dubbed his child in the document, but the mother went ahead with the abortion at 6-weeks using a pill provided by the clinic.

They are suing for ‘wrongful death’ as under Alabama state law, known as Amendment 2, all fertilized fetuses have the same rights as people. Though it was passed last year, this law was never applied within a court system.

Until now. For the first time, Probate Judge Frank Barger has allowed the case to proceed, meaning he has created legal precedent in the state for fathers to sue on behalf of their aborted children. Because of the decision, Alabama Women’s Center, the main defendant, must legally respond to the suit by April 1st.
